One fundamental mismatch in the future powered by AI is not leaving my mind.
Okay, let's assume that AI will take our routine work. People are now free to pursue creativity, to craft new meanings.
Creativity is almost always about breaking the rules. You question the status quo and try to shake it up, combine, disconnect, rethink something and give birth to a new meaning. And here lies the snag.
There's a huge difference between breaking the rules, knowing and understanding them in detail, and breaking the rules because you simply don't know them. The first is an act of creativity; the second is random poking.
The adoption of assistants having answers to all of the questions could not help but encourage people to more and more rely on them rather than on their own research. Not to forget, our brains try to save as much energy as possible, so we are lazy by default.
The question is – won't this laziness and lack of a vital need to understand the basics in order to do routine tasks lead to even fewer truly creative people? What can be done to prevent this, and should anything be done at all?
